Summer Camp Boston, USA

9th July 2013

It's all go at the Boston Campus!!

CISS / Village Camps Boston is off to an amazing start this week. Students arrived Saturday and Sunday to an enthusiastic staff and a gorgeous campus at the Hillside School just west of Boston.

On Monday, students began classes with their exciting and experienced teachers. At activities, students shined on the soccer field, volleyball court, and concentrated on their designs at Arts and Crafts.

Later Monday, our counselors organized an amazing scavenger hunt for students who were placed in groups. Students were challenged with rhymes and riddles until the winning team emerged. The group's reward for the victory: water balloons!

On Tuesday, students and counselors travelled on their first excursion to the New England Aquarium in Boston. Students were amazed at the varieties of marine life available for viewing and got to view a 'Seal' show. After venturing around the Aquarium, students and counselors made the seven minute walk over to Boston's historical Fanueil Hall Marketplace. During the summer months, Fanueil Hall is a thriving, bustling center for Bostonian culture: food, restaurants, shops, and concerts. Students enjoyed their first shopping experience while touring around the area.

After arriving back on campus, students were treated to a 'games night', during which counselors organized 'Table Tennis' and 'Foozball' tournaments for students. We are all so amazed by how mature and athletic so many of our students are. Students are routinely defeating the counselors in Table Tennis, Foozball, and soccer games. Other students played card and other exciting board games as the night wrapped up.
