Summer Camp Boston, USA
Memories were made of this....
Village Camps Boston has ended its first year as a success. Students departed successfully on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday night, students and counselors went bowling, enjoyed laser, tag, and had a big pizza party before arriving back to campus. Saturday, after breakfast, counselors and teachers accompanied students to the airport for departure. Some students had parents pick them up on campus. Each students had the option of bringing their classroom materials home. Tears were shed, hugs were exchanged, and email addresses and 'Facebook' addresses shared as students, counselors, teachers, and directors said their goodbyes.
Here at VC/CISS Boston, we will miss our students so much. They were wonderful people with amazing backgrounds, languages, cultures, interests, likes, and dislikes. We will never forget our four weeks together: the trips, sports, ESL classroom experiences, the campus, the activities, the movies, the laughter, the weather, and the languages. As a director, I know that I feel blessed to have been responsible for these students and counselors for the exciting month. We wish students, parents, and everyone the very best rest of the summer and school year and beyond and we look forward to a second VC/ CISS Boston experience next summer, in 2014.
