Summer Camp Boston, USA

7th July 2015

Tuesday means excursion day....Boston, here we come!!!

Today, July 7, 2015, was a full-day excursion to the city of Boston. During this excursion, students had the chance to see famous landmarks such as the Skywalk observatory, Fort Warren (which is located on Georges island) and the Fenway baseball park where the Red Sox play.

Upon arrival in Boston, students had a once in a life time opportunity to see the city from a bird's eye view at the Skywalk. The Skywalk is located on top of the tallest building in the city of Boston, which is called the Prudential Center. After seeing Boston from this point of view, students went to Newbury street, which is a mile long district covered with exotic top-end shops and restaurants. While on this prestigious street, students spent an hour shopping and getting to know each other and the city.

Later, we headed over the Harbor area of Boston where we embarked on the ferry to go to one of Boston???s many islands, which is called Georges Island. Georges Island is home to the Warren fort, which was served to fight off the British during the colonial period. While here, they took a tour given by an experienced park ranger. After spending a couple of hours on Georges Island, we then headed over to the Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play against the Miami Marlins.
