Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain
Excursion to Tarifa!
Today was awesome!! After such a great week here at camp in Chiclana, it was fabulous to be able to explore some more of the beautiful country that is Spain. This morning we headed out to Tarifa on the south coast for a day full of fun and exploring.
The day started with a dolphin and whale watching boat ride. We left the harbour in some gusty winds and spent a couple hours out on the water enjoying the fresh air. The dolphins put on an incredible show for us, swimming in and out and around and in front of the boat. Jumping and twirling and singing too! Unfortunately we didn't see any whales today but it was nice to have a relaxing but exciting morning after such a busy week of activities.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch by the old castle and wandered around Tarifa for the afternoon doing a bit of shopping.
Then we headed out to the peir that leads to the old fort where there was a beautiful beach with crystal clear water and rocks to play in. We snorkeled and played football (of course) and swam and explored the old fort.
After such a busy day we headed back to Complejo Campano for a relazing movie night in El Pilar building. We watched Martian and then headed to bed for a goodnights rest before our excursion to Sevilla tomorrow.
