Arrival Day for 3rd Session

Sunday was arrivals day for session 3 and camp was busy being tidied and redecorated for all the new campers that were soon to arrive. The campers who were staying over from session 2 had a much needed lie in until 9am before heading to breakfast at 9.30. After breakfast the campers settled into the red common room to watch a film and relax before the next 2 weeks of fun and excitement!

At lunchtime, luckily the sun was shining and the campers enjoyed a delicious BBQ followed by waffles with maple syrup in the secret garden, this was a good opportunity for the new campers to meet the counselors and for campers old and new to make friends. After lunch the campers were given the choice to relax on the village green, play table football, pool or ping pong whilst new campers arrived from all over Europe, Russia and Saudi Arabia. By 5.30 most of the new campers had arrived and all campers met for a color meeting where they met their color leaders and were introduced to their counselors before heading down to dinner.

After dinner the campers had some free time to finish unpacking and relax. At 7pm the campers met again for the evening programme with their color group, the campers completed camper profiles and played games to get to know each other. At 9pm the campers were encouraged to have an early night after a long day of travelling and to prepare them for the next energetic 2 weeks at camp. We are very much looking forward to getting to know all the new campers and having lots and lots of fun for one last time this year!
