Summer Camp England

6th August 2010

Performing Arts Show

Friday saw the last full day of camp and last day of Morning programmes, all of which had been a great success over the two week session. All went smoothly and were lots of fun for the campers and it was a great way to complete their individual programmes.

After lunch saw the Performing Arts show performance. The whole camp made their way into York city centre to the 41 Monkgate Theatre to enjoy the show. Although the Performing Arts programme was small in numbers, the imagination, creativity and delivery of the performance was exceptional. Each Performing Arts camper had learnt not just about one aspect of performing, but about singing, acting and dance. A stunning performance of Guns???N???Roses ???Sweet Child O???mine??? lead to a thunderous applause by the very receptive audience. As the curtain came down on the show, a very talented group of campers received the loudest cheer of the day, along with the Performing Arts staff, lead by the exceptionally talented Jono Freeman.

After the performance the campers made their way back to camp to pack bags ready for tomorrow's departures and to prepare themselves for the final night awards and disco.
