Summer Camp England

26th June 2011

Arrivals Day in Village Camps York

It was a hot, beautiful day on the arrival of the campers. Campers from many parts of the world arrived throughout the day. They were greeted by staff and assisted in registering at the reception. They were introduced to the nurses and the camper's bank to deposit their pocket money for safe-keeping and shown their rooms. Once settled in, the campers joined activities arranged around the camp which included football, Frisbee, table-tennis and other activities on the Village Green.

The weather remained perfect for a BBQ lunch in the Secret Garden. The BBQ lasted the course of three hours due to the continuous arrival of campers throughout the day. Campers were still coming in to camp all evening, so the staff was making sure everyone was feeling safe, comfortable and well looked after.
