Summer Camp England

17th July 2011

York Excursion

Despite the drizzle, the camp went out to enjoy the day in York. The weather did clear up enough for the campers to enjoy and learn about the history of York and view the Minster, the Museum Gardens which holds the ruins of an Abbey, the Wall which holds the city within, and the Gates spread around the city. The campers had another opportunity to shop for gifts and buy candies from the area.
After a few hours of wandering the Shambles and Market area, the campers returned to camp for the evening programme of the Talent Night. Campers were dazzled by dancing, singing, and acting of their fellow campers. It was a wonderful surprise to witness all the talent Village Camps holds.
