Summer Camp England

CARNIVAL NIGHT TUESDAY

Today was the first full day of programmes and activities. Now that all the campers know where to go and what to do, the action and activity is getting better and better by the minute.

The morning the Riding camp broke into three groups and started lessons catering to each of their levels. The smiles on some of the campers faces when they met their horses this morning was something very special.

The Activity/Adventure camp started their Adventure part of their course by going to the Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre. When they arrived at the sailing centre, they were broken up into four groups and they did canoeing, kayaking, raft building and small games/wall climbing. Fun was had by all, however a few groups did get wet as some of the rafts did not survive their little voyage on the lake. Some of our campers blamed the counsellors for sabotage.

This afternoon we started a range of different activities including: Tennis, Cooking, Football, Volleyball, Beauty Session (especially for Glenn), American Football, Zumba Dancing, Sculpting, Basketball, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee and our Conversational and Practical English Language Classes. Reading this list is exhausting in itself, never mind doing them all.

However, our campers need to have loads of energy in reserve because tonight we are having our Carnival Night. An action packed night filled with different games and activities that is similar to the country fairs found throughout England and America. We are all eagerly awaiting tonight???s event, but all of our readers are going to have to wait until tomorrow???s news to catch up on what happened.
