Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Sunny Switzerland.
We were all happy to wake up to another beautiful day in Switzerland, perfect conditions for all the great outdoor activities we had planned for the day.
The morning started with mountain biking for the Red Adventure campers, they jumped on their bikes and peddled off through the amazing village of Leysin. The Blue Adventure kids were rock climbing at the quarry and Adventure Yellows headed out for a hike and camp out. The Sports campers were at Le Suche forest, they rotated between archery and fitness. The Dance campers started to learn the dance they will be performing at the end of the session and the Language lessons are now in full flow. As always the Tennis campers have been down at the courts working hard and having fun. The Greenies had a enjoyable morning of tennis and swimming.
After a spot of lunch and the all camp meeting the afternoon activities could start, the Yellows went on a hike up the mountain to Le Temeley which is small family run fromagerie nestled on the mountain side at an altitude of 1,700 metres. Once at the top they had a chance to buy home made ice cream and cheese. The Reds and Blues had a mixture of sports, arts, climbings and mountain biking. The Green campers had a chance to explore the village of Leysin and go indoor climbing.
The Yellow campers had a campfire for their evening activity, they had a small hike down to the camp fire area then they had time to relax, roast marshmallows and play games. The Reds had an evening of Dodgeball, the Blues had a games night and Greenies had fun playing with each other and their counsellors.
