Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

18th August 2011

Only 2 Days Left of Camp.

The great weather continues!

All sport/adventure campers jumped on the bus and headed down to the sports centre, they had a morning of street hockey and beach volleyball. The Dance campers unusually didn't spend all their time in the auditorium, part of the morning was spent in the Arts and Crafts room creating back drops and outfits for their performance tomorrow night. As usual the tennis campers were down at the courts with Steve Loft, the language campers were enjoying their lessons and the film campers were in the final stages of editing their movies.

After lunch all the campers were in the building today preparing skits, creating props or making food to represent their respective countries for the evening activity.

The evening meal was unlike any other we have had all session as the food was not served by the kitchen staff in the dining room, but representatives from each country had a table set up with an array of different foods ready to serve the kids. It was a great way for the campers to experience foods from the different cultures of their fellow campers.

International Night went off with a bang, there were loads of amazing performances from all over the world. Everyone was able to take something from the experience as they may have learnt something new about the countries their peers are from or just had a great time watching their friends perform.
