Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

International Night!

It's another beautiful day in Switzerland, the weather just keeps getting better and better!

All the Red and Yellow Sport and Adventure campers united this morning and headed down into the valley to the ropes course. The course runs through the forest high off the ground with obstacles that span from tree to tree. The Blue Sport and Adventure kids had an extreme morning of rafting. The Dance campers wee putting the finshing touches to their routine. The Greens had a busy morning preparing for international night, they worked on their skit and created something in the kitchen to share with the rest of the camp.

Just like yesterday the afternoons activities were split between the forest and the hotel. All the groups who played united nations yesterday were in the building today preparing skits, creating props or making food to represent their respective countries and visa versa.

The evening meal was unlike any other we have had all session as the food was not served by the kitchen staff in the dining room. Representatives from each country had a table set up outside with an array different foods ready to serve the kids. It was a great way for the campers to experience foods from the different cultures of their fellow campers.

International Night went off with a bang, there were loads of amazing performances from all over the world. I think everyone was able to take something from the experience as they may have learnt something new about the countries their peers are from or just had a great time watching their friends perform.
