Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Swiss National Day!
The day started well, blue skies and sunshine met the campers as they woke on Swiss National Day.
In the morning the Red and Yellow were down in the forest playing a massive game of Lost. The Greenies were scaling a rock face at climbing, the dancers danced and some of the language classes had an excursion into the village. The Blue Adventurers set out on a hike to stay over night in a picturesque cabin next to a beautifully clear lake. The Film Academy had a special guest talking about direction and acting.
After lunch it was back to action for the Reds with a selection of tennis, squash, bouldering, swimming and kick boxing. The Blues took advantage of the great weather and went on hike into the mountains. The Yellows had a choice of climbing, archery, dance, aerobics and sports in the gym while the Greenies enjoyed a spot of face painting and dance. The Tennis campers were back down at the courts with Katya and Steve Loft working on their tennis skills.
After some free-time and dinner the Yellows were hurling foam balls at each other in an epic evening of dodgeball and the Reds and Blues were up at Prafendax enjoying a campfire with marshmallows and music. The Greenies had an exciting evening of Claymation. The sun may not make a return tomorrow but more fun is a guarantee!
