We Are All Heading To The Mountain Hut
Today was an amazing day at Village Camps Leysin, it was the first time we were able to take the whole camp on a Mountain Hut Adventure.
The day started like most other days, the Language campers were back in their classrooms having fun with their teachers. The Film campers were with Mac shooting their movies and editing their footage. The Adventure campers were rotating between Archery and Fitness, after all the Hunger Games hype archery was a big hit.
After lunch and the all camp meeting at 1pm the tennis campers headed down to the courts and the rest of the camp jumped aboard a coach which took them down the valley to Les Mosses. Once off the coach the campers hiked up the mountain to a small mountain hut looking over the beautiful Lake Lioson. Once they had found their rooms, dropped off their belongings they started their hike to top of the mountain. When they reached the top the views could only be described as breathe taking.
When everyone had got back to the mountain hut (the tennis campers bused over after their session) the BBQ could begin. The campers and counselors sat out on the terrace eating food around the camp fire and looking out over the lake. After such a great day everyone was tired and welcomed the site of their beds.
