Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
A perfect sunny day for excursions today.
What a gorgeous summer day here in Switzerland to go out on excursions today! The four colour groups each went their own way for a fun day out of camp. The Greenies headed to Gruyere this morning for a tour of the Cailler chocolate factory where they had the chance to sample some of their products. The Yellows headed to Vevey for a bit of shopping while the Reds and Blues went to Geneva. The Reds went to the Red Cross Museum and the Blues went to the United Nations headquarters.
Everybody had prepared a picnic and enjoyed the sunshine by the lake for lunchtime. Then it was time to head off again. Shopping for the Greenies and the Reds to find some souvenirs, shopping for the Blues while going to the Jazz Festival in Montreux, and a very fun afternoon at the Labyrinth Adventure Park for the Yellows.
Still a beautiful evening here in Leysin and everyone is really happy to have gone on excursion for the day. The Greens and Yellows are both going to relax in front of movie tonight, while the Reds are going up to Prafandaz to play some games and have a campfire there. The Blues are spending their evening out in Montreux at the Jazz Festival, a chance to enjoy the free concerts and grab a bite to eat watching the sun set over Lake Geneva. A great day indeed for everyone.
