Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Beautiful day in Leysin.
What an excellent day to kick of the two weeks of camp. After everyone had a delicious breakfast they divided into their chosen programs. The greenies got together and played Building Bonanza in which they played games to get to know their surroundings and each other. The English and French language classes, Tennis, Dance and Film Academy all went to their first lessons and were told what they will be doing for the next two weeks. The adventure camp went to play team building games which included building human pyramids, towers of Hanoi, trust games and lots of puzzles that needed everyone to work together to solve. Sports camp went to the Mount Blanc pitch to partake in various games so they would get a taster of what was in store for the session.
After a busy morning a big lunch was needed to set everyone up for afternoon activities. The greenies went to partake in archery and they also did various games in the forest. The yellows had a rotation which included bouldering, tennis and a tour of the village. The reds had a big activity involving various games of team building and water games. And finally the blues were also having their own big activity which involved competing against each other and working together in different games and finally big water fight to end a great afternoon in the sun.
After free time and a good dinner the kids were all recuperated and ready to get going again. The greenies and reds played a very popular game called terminator where the campers must defeat the councillors dressed up as robots. While the reds played murder mystery in the forest, solving clues along the way to solve the mystery. The blues headed down to the college gym to play dodge-ball where they competed against each other and the councillors.
