Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Finishing Up Camp.
Today has been cold so far, but the cloud swill hopefully hold back until this evening when the all camp activity will be inside.
The day was cool and breezy when the yellow adventure camp went to the lake to go sailing. An unfortunate cold had forced many of the campers to stay in bed, so there were only three that went out on the lake, Jude, Nicholas and Nor. They all did a fantastic job managing the boat!
The rest of the adventure campers spent the morning at the pool in the shade of the mountain fog.
The German language camp got a surprise when they got to go on a field trip to the local fire station and get a tour completely in German where they got to try some of the tools of the trade.
The English classes stayed at camp and played games to improve their speaking skills and worked on grammar.
The film camp was all in a flurry because today was the first of two days where the camp gets to see their movies. We got to see some of them after lunch and the All Camp Meeting, and they were all fantastic!
After dinner was a very fun and educational evening activity. Two days ago the campers had been split into groups of countries, many worked on the country they were from, but many crossed borders and went to other countries. Each country had 5-10 minutes to present something about their country. The countries that were presented were Spain, France, Russia, Lebanon, Syria, Ireland, Bulgaria, Italy and The United States. They discussed national dishes, preformed dances, produced slide shows and sang their national anthems. The night was a fantastic success. The campers were all into the performances and were respectful of the others. When the United States went they held a mock election in which they nominated five campers and staff to be voted on by the entire camp. Arthur from Russia won President of Village Camps and counselor Paz won Vice President.
After the performances were over the campers were sent to bed. Tomorrow is the last full day of camp.

- Lunch: Cold Starter, Meat Balls, Chips, Vegetables, Salad-Bar, Tiramisu
- Dinner: Cream Soup, Cut-up and sugared pancake with apple mouse.
