The Sun is Still Shining!
The Day is starting off well. The adventure camps are all off site today taking part in fun activities. The yellows went hiking and learned how to build an emergency shelter and how to build a fire to keep warm. The reds took the bikes out and biked to a small lake not far from camp, while the today was the blues turn to go to Zell and work on their kayaking skills.
The language classes worked on verbs and other vocabulary skills and the film camp is on their second day of shooting, and we can all see campers going here and there with film equipment in their hands on their way to shoot the next scene in their films!
After lunch the staff had been planning on a thunder storm, but the sun was still shining, so instead of keeping the campers cooped up inside the days activities were switched and the entire camp hiked down to the pool instead. We had to head back a few hours later when the rain began to fall for a pre-shower to the storm that arrived just before dinner.
At dinner we finally celebrate Cecily's birthday. Arrivals day was her birthday, but we had not had a chance to celebrate it properly, so we finally did it tonight.
After dinner the counselors hosted a stock market event. The counselors created new products that were sold on the Village Camp Stock Market. The products were: Self-Applying Sun Screen, The Fart-O-Matic, Always Full Water Bottle, Drop Box Pocket, Life Journal, Language Retainer, Face Glass and Hair Changing Pills. The campers were given fake money which they used to buy and sell shares of the companies. The campers got really into the night's activities.
It was a great night activity that kept the campers inside and entertained while the rain came down outside.

- Lunch: Cold Starter, Fried Sausages, Potatoes, Vegetables, Salad-bar and ice cream.
