Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Trip to Sigmund Thun Gorge!
Today was another great excursion day! The morning started out with a delicious breakfast, and then usual morning programs. There was a trip to a lake and a cold swim for some young adventurers, while others worked on language skills and film production. There was also a climbing session at an indoor climbing hall, as the weather decided to not cooperate.
After regular programs in the morning, everyone headed out to explore the Sigmund Thun Gorge in Kaprun, just across the valley from camp. The gorge was carved by a glacier that used to cover the area in the late Ice Age. Although the weather was not perfect, the rain held back for the trip. Some brave souls even dared to go for a swim in the icy water of the glacial stream.
The night's entertainment was a disco night!!! Everyone dressed in their finest threads and danced the night away to beats thrown down by our very own DJ WORMY. There were new moves invented, as well as classic dances that tired everyone out.
Tomorrow is a big day, as all campers are off for an overnight at a mountain hike.
