Summer Camp Zell am See, Austria
Sunshine, Beautiful Sunshine
Another exhausting yet exhilarating day at camp! The sun was shining bright and intense all day, right up until bed time, when the clouds closed in and so did the rain. After breakfast, things got started right away. There was rock climbing, the usual film and language learning, team building games, and some ventured to Zell am See for an adventure in stand-up paddle boarding. There was plenty of jumping and swimming in the lake (even the photographer was dunked - Thanks, Nico!).
Lunch was enjoyed outside on the patio in the wonderful sunshine, and campers headed off to various activities for an afternoon of sports. Some played volleyball and learned kickball, while others biked across the valley from the town of Kaprun back to camp. The sun was hot, so a few campers took the opportunity to cool off in the shade and do some arts and crafts - including tie dye.
After a relaxing outside dinner, everyone prepared for the evening game: VC Creation. Campers were allowed to bring any 5 items from their rooms in order to create imaginative versions of inventions. They made flying cars, cookie monsters, spaceships, and bikes that can travel on water. Needless to say, there were some pretty interesting inventions...
