Canyon and Teamwork adventures
No rest for the wicked! Activity 1 and some of Activity 2 today took the exhilarating venture of Canyoning. Campers abseiled down waterfalls, slid on many smooth rock slippery slide, and jumped off of rocks from great heights. With a beautiful backdrop to top it off, a great day was had by all.
The remainder Activity 2 campers were tested for problem solving in a tree climb and zip line challenge, followed by high level progressive lessons on the river, building on their prior knowledge from past camp experiences for canoeing, to learn rescues and operate the awesome Canadian Canoes.
Les Francais left camp and headed to the village of Vallon. Here they were set a challenge to ask questions to the general public, in French, of locations in photographs they had received earlier. And the mission was very successful! After lunch, the campers happily clipped and zipped the afternoon away at the nearby ropes course.
