Summer Camp Ardèche, France
Grande Descente Day Uno
This morning we woke up the rain pouring down on our tents. Julien refused to put off our departure and we were on our way to Les Trois Eaux to launch our canoes enroute to our campsite at Bivouac.
We left all sporting our fancy raincoats under our PFDs, but by the time lunch rolled around the sun was peeking through the clouds and it started to warm up.
We paddled and paddled and paddled and landed at our campsite around 5pm.
While we were settling up camp and arranging the tent that would fit 24+ girls in it for the night Fran got stung by wasp on her left hand [she is left handed].
We had BBQ provided by Julien, Brian & Co, which was smashing by the way.
Somehow by 10pm we were brushing our teeth and decided whether we would sleep inside or outside our two green army tents [one for girls and one for boys]. We were all seriously eyeing Caveman's hammock, he must have had the most cozy sleep stretched out between two trees.
