Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain
Surfs Up! Wednesday at the beach!
Today was filled with sun and sand and bowling!
Our surfers hit the waves and worked on the little details in preparation for the big waves that are coming next week. Some campers got the hang of taking off by themselves, and others got up onto their biggest waves so far.
Adventure campers built on their rock climbing and archery skills. In archery they walked through the enchanted forest to learn about how past cultures would have hunted for food and some Spanish history as well. The rock climbers made it to the top in record time.
The English class started working on their music video project, and Spanish students played games outside and worked on their lessons.
In the afternoon the yellows got to go bowling and had a great time sliding around in their bowling shoes and getting strikes! The rest of the campers went to the surf beach and were given the opportunity to try surfing! We've got some quick learner's here at VC Spain. We played some rugby and soccer and practiced on the body board in the shallow water.
This evening was magical! A magician came and knocked the socks off our reds and blues while the yellows played some Eggstreme games! One blue was so inspired by the magician she's determined to learn as many card tricks as she can this week.
It was a full and fantastic day, and the sun was out in all her glory!
