Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain

5th July 2016

Tuesday July 5, Capture the Flag, Kayak and more!

This morning our adventure campers headed out to Sancti Petri to go kayaking. They learned the basics, scouted out their big trip for Thursday and learned how to get back into your boat if it flips over. The surfers caught some waves; everybody is learning so quickly. And the Spanish classes played Huckle Buckle, but in Spanish.

Our afternoon schedule was full of fun games and activities for all campers. Arts and crafts made some awesome posters with paint in preparation for prom night. Campers learned some basketball and rugby skills as well as playing some kickball out in the sun. There was also some biking done by yellows and reds and a big photo scavenger hunt by the yellows.

In the evening everyone got together in the enchanted forest for a huge game of capture the flag. The first game ended in a tie and both sides were evenly matched the whole night. The white team finished with a win, but the dark team battled back to win in our stomp clap the beat competition.

As the second day comes to a close campers are making new friends, trying new things, learning new skills and having a ton of fun.
