Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain

20th July 2016

Kayak adventures, beach afternoons and capture the flag!

Today was awesome! The sun came back out from behind the clouds and the temperature was lovely!

This morning adventure campers headed to Playa Sancti Petri for an awesome kayak adventure. Despite the wild waves the campers made it to the island and had an awesome time exploring in the tide pools. The wind made for a tricky journey back to shore, but those who fell into the water got a nice refreshing swim!

Our surfers had great conditions at the beginning. They were working on the basics, practicing their form and strengthening their paddle. As the morning went on the Levante wind came in making it difficult to surf. However the campers were very brave and did an awesome job.

In the afternoon we all headed to the beach. Campers played in the sand building a dam and a jacuzzi, they were skim boarding, jumping and splashing in the water, playing paddle, and much more!!! It was a really great afternoon and everyone had a lot of fun!

In the evening we played a big game of capture the flag in the Enchanted Forest! The black team won the game but they were given a run for their money by the white team!

It was a really nice day here at Complejo Campano in Spain and everyone had a blast.
