Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

9th August 2011

The Rain is Holding Off.

As the third day of camp rolls around we can see that the campers have settled in and now understand the routine of camp life.

The wet weather has made all our great outdoor activities a challenge but not impossible. The sport/adventure kids headed down to the forest to play Lost; they were in a plane crash scenario so they had to find materials to build fire and shelter. As always the hotel was a hive of activity with all the fun being had in the language classes, in dance camp and in the film academy.

After a revitalising lunch and the all camp meeting the afternoon activities could begin. The Yellows all came together for a hike, they walked up to Le Temely which is a fromagerie nestled in the hillside above Leysin. The Reds and Blues had a choice of loads of varied and great activities ranging from kick boxing to climbing to dance to swimming.

The Blues had an amazing trivia night, where they earned points which they could spend on materials for a challenge at the end of the night. The Reds stayed in the hotel for challenging night of Murder Mystery and the Yellows were having a great time eating roasted marshmallows at their camp fire.
