Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
The Last Day of the Summer!
Today, sadly, saw the last day of summer camp 2011 here in Leysin Switzerland. Some campers were up before the sun and into trains and taxis before the rest had woken. Throughout the rest of the day the remaining campers were either taken to meet planes or trains or picked up by smiling (and some teary) parents. The cleaning staff and counsellors, on the other hand, will be working late to ensure that everything is cleared away ready to start again next summer.
Many friendships have been formed over these two weeks and departures are often hard. Amongst the smiles and hugs were many exchanges of contact details and more than a few teary eyes!
Parents, we thank you for trusting your most precious possessions with us for these past two weeks (or more). We hope that you have enjoyed our journal entries and all the pictures placed online. Make sure that when your campers arrive home they have a chance to see them also.
We hope that next summer you will again consider Village Camps, Switzerland or one of our other camps across the world.
