Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland

1st July 2013

First Day of Session Two and it's Canada Day!

Its a beautiful sunny first day here in Switzerland and most of our counsellors are celebrating Canada Day. After breakfast everyone was excited to go their mornings activities. The greenies went on a Safari Hunt and visited the town. The Yellows, Reds and Blues divided into their chosen camps. The sports camp went to the sports centre and played indoor games for the first hour. Then they could chose between beach volley and basketball. The adventure camp went and played team building games, tennis camp went to the clay courts and met their instructor and got to know the rest of their group and dance, language and film all got to meet their teachers and get to know everyone in their class.

This afternoon is still very nice here in Switzerland. The Greens headed down to the forest to do some parcours while the Yellows were doing bouldering, tennis and also a town tour to get more familiar with Leysin. The Reds and Blues were both doing their all group activities. The Blues enjoyed the nice weather to do more team building games, most of them involving water guns and water balloons to cool them down. The Reds played similar games including vortex, sinking island and magic carpet. Everyone had a great afternoon.

Tonight the Greens and Yellows joined forces to play an exciting game of Terminator together here at Camp. Meanwhile the Reds headed down to the forest for a giant Murder Mystery and the Blues played Dodgeball. Lots of fun for everyone to conclude a very beautiful day here at VC Leysin.
