Summer Camp Leysin, Switzerland
Session 2, Arrivals Day
Everyone is arriving from all over the world, some by plane and train and others by their parents but they all here to have an unforgettable time at Village Camps. This morning the stayovers and children staying for a second session and also some of the early arrivals headed down to the sports centre to play a few games.
After checking in at the various stalls for example, health care, sports and adventure, language, they then got shown their room and it was back downstairs to make a name tag so it was easier to get to know each other. Afterwards there were games to break the ice. Also there was the option to sign up for the climbing wall. Before dinner we all gathered outside and had our first camp meeting. Everyone then got split into their colour groups and played a few games to get to know each other and then everyone headed inside for dinner.
After dinner each group took turns to have a tour of the town while others played games and had a tour of the camp itself. Then everyone got some time to unpack and head to sleep for their very first night.
- Breakfast: Cereals, Fruit, Bread
- Lunch: sausages, potatoes, baked beans, salads muffins, brownies, watermelon
- Dinner: Cordon Bleu, Salads, chips, pesto pasta
