Summer Camp Chiclana, Spain
First full day of Camp!
Happy Fourth of July to all of our American friends!
Today was our first full day of camp, and it was a great one!
After breakfast this morning campers headed out to their activities. The surfers headed to the beach where they met Vincento, their surf instructor for the next two weeks and within minutes of getting into the water they were catching waves like pros.
Adevnture campers did some skills testing and finished the morning with a fun swim in the pool. They tested their skills on the rock wall; taking their first climbs and getting used to repelling. Next was the mountain bikes, touring the site and tackling obstacle courses. They finished with a swim test in the pool and a bit of a free swim afterwards.
Our language campers had a great first day of classes. Splitting into English and Spanish, they went over the basics: introductions, common questions, and silly phrases. Playing games inside and outside their teachers took note of skill levels and got exited about their plans for the next two weeks.
After a nice relaxing free time, we headed to La Barrossa beach! Body boards, footballs and beautiful ocean waves kept the campers excited for the whole afternoon. There was some bracelet making and card games on the sand and swimming and volleyball near the water.
For evening activities we got into our colour groups to play some get-to-know-you and team building games. Huckle Buckle, Where's My Water Bottle, name games, Splat!, and Zombie Dodgeball to name a few. Afterwards we all gathered in the big patio to play a camp wide game of Buggy's Up!
The Spanish sun was out in all its glory today, and the kids smiles shined just as bright.

- Lunch: Spaghetti Carbonara, Pork Filets and French Fries
- Dinner: Tortilla, Pork, Soup and Salad
